the place where i belong
harbor and dock
at once
fellowship and solitude
i take you all along the solo trail
there's no way i could forget who stood by
who cared and loved
who still do
now i carry on my ship
alone
that's what human beings are meant for
i look up and check the stars
one night more we'll sail through
the place where i belong
sea and land
sometimes i'd rather be not seen
but still children and dogs would feel my presence
and i couldn't escape
invisible people move so s l o w
maybe you my dearest
once again
will find and recognize me
and then we'll become a gang
and won't be afraid of the streets in town
the place where i belong
among the weary undergrowth of nature
the place where i belong
i'll be back to you earth one day soon
meanwhile on board
i keep at wheel and move ahead
not dreading the ocean
blank around
just another fish
i see and trust
you look too
there's nothing else to think about
the waves whisper strength and glee
in fretful adoration my flesh replies
i declare myself visible from now on
still clean eyes pierce my melting bones
your touch dives deep in my chest
like a salmon across the tide
warm memories flood my body
for we don't remember days but overwhelming moments
with full moon i steer for home
and all of a sudden i find myself
atop a bright star
where i can see the spot
i used to think as truly mine
i sense your light faithful stars
we ignite the earth
my place is just a ray
and finally i understand
where i belong
i stand on salty water
in the middle of the night
the invisible becomes alive
silver shiny creatures leaping in the sky
for joy and love
amidst the starry foam
reaching for the crests
never asking why
stream and air
i'm part of you
I belong to the bliss of the flow
